MIDWAY FIRE DISTRICT
The Fire District is soliciting letters of interest and resumes for the Treasurer position. The term of service for this appointed position is normally for an annual term commencing on January 1 but an unexpected vacancy required filling this position as soon as possible. General Requirements. The treasurer must have basic bookkeeping skills and familiarity with double entry accounting. Experience and a working knowledge of Quick Books accounting software also required for this position. Attendance at all meetings of the Board of Fire Commissioners is required (currently 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM) but much of the work of this job is accomplished during regular hours or whenever the treasurer prefers. Treasurer must be familiar with computers and use email. Familiarity with Word and Excel is also required.
